Kirk Winemiller is University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Ecology and Conservation Biology at Texas A&M University. He researches fisheries and aquatic ecology, including fluvial ecosystem responses to hydrologic variation. He has published more than 300 scientific journal articles and book chapters and coauthored three books. He received the American Fisheries Society’s Award of Excellence for scientific achievement and is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Ecological Society of America, and American Fisheries Society.
